FIDE ratings are the official chess ratings published by the International Chess Federation, the governing body of international chess competition.
What is the difference between classical, rapid, and blitz?
Classical games typically have 90+ minutes per player. Rapid is 15-25 minutes. Blitz is 3-5 minutes per player. Each format has separate FIDE ratings.
How often are ratings updated?
FIDE publishes updated ratings monthly. Classical ratings here are from the FIDE standard rating list, October 2026.
